What Will You Do?
- On an as‑needed basis, enter financial transactions into the company system
- Assist with Accounts Payables and Receivables
- Assist with system accounting:
- Recording of Direct Bill Commissions for the Financial Services Department
- Reconciling Agency Bill Transactions and identifying billing discrepancies
- Recording deposits daily
- Assist with month‑end close duties
- Back up for Reception and Mailroom Assistant when needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
- Post Secondary/bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or other related profession; openness to obtaining CPA designation
- 1-2 years experience in accounting; experience in insurance is considered a strong asset
- Exposure to EPIC software or willingness to learn
- Familiarity with Excel spreadsheets, formulas and data analysis tools
- A general understanding of the main accounting principles, such as accruals and revenue
- Strong attention to detail and level of accuracy; ability to spot and resolve discrepancies
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Depending on experience, the salary range for this newly created role is $45,000 – $50,000. Individual salary is determined by factors such as job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as internal equity.
