About Mount Milligan Mine
Located approximately 155 kilometres northwest of Prince George in central BC, the Mount Milligan Mine is a conventional truck‑shovel open‑pit copper and gold mine with a 60,000 tpd capacity copper flotation processing plant.
The mine provides comfortable camp accommodations with private washrooms, TV, Wi‑Fi, onsite gym, and recreational activities. Bus transportation to and from the site is free of charge from several regional locations. The site promotes a drug‑ and alcohol‑free workplace and has a zero‑tolerance policy for unauthorized substances.
About the Opportunity
We are looking for an Administrator, Mill Operations to join our Mount Milligan Mine team. Reporting to the Mill Reliability Superintendent, the Mill Operations Administrator will provide clerical and administrative support to the Mill Operations, Metallurgy, and Assay Lab departments. The role offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $57,000 to $74,000, plus bonus and benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and report maintenance‑related data and maintain various databases.
- Assist with basic payroll, time and attendance, and vacation tracking.
- Maintain training and Learning Management System records.
- Attend meetings and prepare related documents, including meeting minutes.
- Develop and maintain filing systems.
- Manage office, lunchroom, and safety supplies and order as required.
- Assist with operational document creation, editing, and updating.
- Perform other duties as required by the Mill Operations Department.
About You
- 3–5 years of experience in a fast‑paced office environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy.
- Experience with enterprise software (SAP, ABB Ellipse, etc.) is an asset.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and multi‑task.
- Experience with technical writing is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good work ethic, self‑starter, desire to develop professional skills, and a high‑performance attitude.
- Ability to prioritize jobs and handle interruptions regularly.
- Innovative thinking and strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to build relationships and work effectively with others at all levels of the organization.
Working Conditions
- Camp‑based role working 12‑hour days on a 14‑day on, 14‑day off rotation, with accommodation provided during rotation.
- Exposure to indoor/outdoor environments, heavy equipment, noise, and moving parts.
- PPE always required.
- Safety‑sensitive environment with zero‑tolerance drug and alcohol policy.
- Bus transportation provided from regional locations.
