As an Advanced Field Service Engineer here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional technical support and solutions to our customers in the aerospace sector. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the reliability and performance of our advanced aerospace technologies.
You will report directly to our Field Service Manager and you’ll work on site at Bombardier Dorval and occasionally deploy to the Airbus Mirabel.
In this role, you will impact customer satisfaction and operational efficiency by delivering high‑quality service and support for complex aerospace systems, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible solutions tailored to their needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the production line experiencing avionics‑related issues, ensuring responsive and effective support.
- Provide 24×7 technical expertise and support for advanced aerospace systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Provide guidance for troubleshooting, and maintenance of Honeywell aerospace equipment.
- Deliver equipment/system training to the aircraft OEM and to the Operator at the time of aircraft delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with production, flight test, engineering, quality and logistics departments.
- Maintain and manage on‑site parts inventory store.
- Assist business teams by delivering on‑site business intelligence with reports on production health, aircraft deliveries, and parts shortages to transform manufacturing challenges into competitive opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and implement effective solutions for customer needs.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Degree or diploma in an engineering discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of proven experience working on aircraft avionics with an ability to work mechanical products (i.e. Auxiliary Power Unit, Engines, or Environmental Control Systems).
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in a customer‑facing role with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with the technical team.
- Minimum 2 years of experience troubleshooting avionics equipment and systems.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working at an aircraft OEM, supporting the production line, preflight operations and flight testing.
- Capable of traveling between sites i.e. Dorval and Mirabel.
- Willingness to work extended hours at times carrying over into evenings and the weekend as necessary.
- Effective communication in English (both verbal and written) is a key requirement.
WE VALUE
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) license.
- Experience/knowledge of Honeywell Avionics and mechanical products.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards (TC, FAA, EASA).
- Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. and creating reports and maintaining databases.
- Experience in developing executive reports, good communication skills and ability to deliver presentations to an audience.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in high‑pressure situations.
