Eastview Middle School seeks an ASL Transl iterator to support students in English Language Order with American Sign Language. This temporary position is for 30 hours weekly from August 24, 2026, to June 30, 2027.
In this role, the successful candidate will provide specialized ASL support to a middle school student, facilitating effective communication and engagement. Candidates with level 4 ASL fluency and experience with children with autism are preferred. Strong technology skills, particularly in Google Apps for Education, will enhance collaboration in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide ASL in English Language Order support
• Facilitate communication between the student and classmates
• Support educational engagement in a team environment
• Work collaboratively with educators and staff
• Maintain a current vulnerable sector criminal record check
Requirements:
• Fluency in American Sign Language, level 4 preferred
• Experience working with students with autism
• Proficient in technology tools, especially Google Apps
• Strong problem-solving capabilities
• Team-oriented and collaborative attitude
