ASSISTANT CONTROLLER — FERRARI QUEBEC
Ferrari Quebec is seeking a disciplined, detail-oriented, and motivated Assistant Controller to support the dealership’s financial operations, reporting, internal controls, compliance, and day-to-day accounting functions. This role works closely with the Controller, management, department heads, auditors, tax advisors, banking partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and operational discipline. The ideal candidate is professional, discreet, organized, and committed to excellence within a high-performance luxury automotive environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and KPI reporting.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, departmental expenses, and financial trends.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
- Support internal controls, compliance requirements, tax matters, and Ferrari standards.
- Assist with audits, banking requirements, and requests from external advisors.
- Work with department leaders on expense tracking, budget monitoring, and operational reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and controls.
- Support and collaborate with accounting team members.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in accounting, finance, controllership support, or financial management support.
- Strong knowledge of month-end procedures, reconciliations, reporting, and account analysis.
- Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, internal controls, and compliance.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, discretion, confidentiality, and professional judgment.
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, structured environment.
- Automotive dealership experience is considered an asset.
- Luxury automotive, luxury retail, or premium brand experience is considered an asset.
- CPA designation, CPA candidacy, or equivalent accounting experience is preferred.
