Description
Key responsibilities of a Data Analyst are as follows:
- Data Requirements: Lead the documentation and prioritization of retention requirements for health information by application and by data category. Make recommendations for the minimum viable datasets for CIS migration and access to historical data post-migration.
- Data Validation: Assist in establishing the standards, processes, and tools to ensure the quality, integrity, and accuracy of all data throughout the migration and archiving process.
- Manage core datasets: Work with specialists on the Data Management team, and with clinical stakeholders to develop and manage a master data strategy and plan to ensure data consistency and accuracy of core datasets like patients, providers, and locations.
- Data Mapping: Develop and implement data mapping rules to transform data from source systems to target systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with clinical, Health Information Management (HIM), compliance, IT, and vendor teams on matters related to historical and migrated data. Collaborate with clinical and technical stakeholders to gather input and insights for the development and refinement of data requirements.
- Document and maintain comprehensive data management documentation to support data migration and archiving plans. This may include data specifications, retention requirements, flow diagrams, and other relevant artifacts as required.
- Document processes and methodologies for extracting and profiling key data as per business and technical requirements.
- Create detailed transformation specifications by working with the CIS solution implementer, and project clinical, business and technical working groups.
