About The Role

The Business Analyst – Wealth Management plays a vital role in supporting Fidelity Canada's private wealth and high-net-worth client offerings. This position involves working on cross-organizational projects and Agile stories to define, analyze, and deliver technology and process solutions that enhance client experiences and operational efficiency. The Business Analyst will serve as a critical liaison between the wealth management business teams and information systems (IS) delivery teams, translating complex business needs into clear functional and technical requirements. Responsibilities include eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, supporting project estimation, planning, and prioritization, and ensuring seamless coordination during development, testing, and deployment phases. The role also involves supporting business readiness and change management activities to facilitate smooth adoption of new solutions and processes.

Qualifications

  • Completed 3-year college diploma or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of Business Analyst experience, preferably in wealth management, private wealth, investment management, or financial services
  • Experience with private wealth or high-net-worth client business models and advisor-led service environments
  • Knowledge of investment-related workflows and client onboarding processes
  • Experience working within Agile frameworks such as Scrum
  • Familiarity with Backoffice, Transfer Agency (TA), and Dealer Operating Platforms
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, JIRA, and Confluence tools
  • Understanding of client servicing workflows and regulatory compliance requirements
  • IIBA or Business Analysis certification, CSM, and/or CSPO (asset)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business analysis plans and monitor ongoing activities to ensure project success
  • Gather, elicit, and analyze business requirements through collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Design and document functional and technical specifications based on business needs
  • Engage with stakeholders to facilitate requirements validation, testing, and user acceptance activities
  • Support project planning, estimation, and prioritization aligned with business goals
  • Act as a liaison between wealth management business teams and IS delivery teams to ensure clear communication and understanding
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Coordinate business readiness activities, including training, documentation, and change management initiatives
  • Support development and QA teams during design, development, and testing phases to ensure quality deliverables
