NeenOpal Canada Inc. is growing, and we're hiring in Fredericton. We're looking for Power BI and Tableau practitioners who want to do meaningful BI work for enterprise clients from right here in New Brunswick.
NeenOpal is a global AI, data analytics, and cybersecurity consultancy with ~150 professionals across our offices in Fredericton (NB), Newark (NJ), and Bengaluru (India). Since 2016, we've delivered data and AI solutions to 200+ enterprise clients across retail, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and education. We are an AWS Advanced Partner with the AWS AI Services Competency (top 1% of partners globally), a Microsoft Solutions Partner, and a Tableau Partner.
NeenOpal Canada is headquartered in Fredericton we're actively scaling our local team to serve a growing global client base, and this role is based in Fredericton.
What you'll do
- Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau and Power BI.
- Extract and manipulate large data sets from databases, spreadsheets, APIs, and cloud data sources.
- Design and implement efficient data models that meet business requirements and performance goals.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and advise them on data visualization best practices.
- Stay current with the latest Tableau and Power BI features, and share that knowledge with the team.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot dashboard and report issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation on data sources, data models, and dashboards.
- Work alongside data engineers, BI analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and security.
- Continuously improve our data visualization techniques and delivery processes.
- Participate in project planning and estimation, and provide updates on project status and progress.
What we're looking for
- Strong hands-on experience with Tableau and/or Power BI and modern data visualization techniques.
- Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Redshift, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
- Experience with ETL processes and data preparation for analytics.
- Working knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts; familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS or Azure) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills – you'll be talking directly to clients.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or a related field.
- Tableau and/or Power BI certification is a plus.
