One of our manufacturing client in Windsor-Essex is looking for Buyer for their facility.
Pay – $65k-$80k
Shift – Days
Key Responsibilities
- Procure MRO items including spare parts, machine components, tooling, PPE, and maintenance supplies
- Create and manage purchase orders (POs), ensuring accuracy in pricing, lead times, and quantities
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery performance
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements with vendors
- Maintain optimal inventory levels of critical spare parts to avoid production downtime
- Work closely with Maintenance and Production teams to forecast demand and prioritize urgent requirements
- Expedite orders and resolve supply chain or vendor-related issues
- Track supplier performance and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Support RFQs, vendor onboarding, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, safety standards, and manufacturing requirements
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- 3+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of MRO procurement and spare parts management
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
