Why this role is important
The Buyer Adult Footwear & Accessories reports to the Sr. Buyer, Category, and is responsible for strategizing, developing, and implementing category assortment as determined by established sales. They will also work in tandem with cross‑functional teams to achieve various deliverables that provide our customers exceptional value.
What you’ll do
- Accountable for achieving Omni‑channel P&L and GMROI for assigned category, including proactive management to ensure forecasts, sales, growth profit and inventory targets are met or exceeded. Conduct post‑buy assortment and financial analysis to include end‑to‑end erosion, and develop action plans to communicate to management and cross‑functional teams.
- Develop & implement category, assortment, marketing, and merchandising strategies that support overarching category goals, and always ensuring that the plan is supported with a customer‑centric focus, data & analytics and market share data. A focus on vendor and SKU optimization helps drive the strategy.
- Develop and manage relationships with both internal and external partners, gaining agreement and negotiating effective solutions.
- Drive go‑to‑market strategies involving developing seasonal plans, forecasting and implementing promotional activities.
- Collaborate in setting merchandising direction for different retail formats in efforts to improve sales productivity while maintaining execution excellence.
- Provide coaching and direction to the Category Team, including feedback and collaboration.

What you bring
- Expert buying experience required (experience with private label an asset, leading a team an asset).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or equivalent.
- Proven ability to deliver results including demonstrated P&L management skills.
- Broad retail experience including working knowledge of cross‑functional areas/processes and their interrelationships.
- Strong customer orientation.
- Results‑driven, critical thinking and ability to influence others.
- Strong analytical, business and financial skill.

Hiring Range / Échelle salariale à l’embauche: $80,000.00 – $ / 80.000,00$ – $ (per year / par an).
