Job Summary
Rail car repair and maintenance, including brake testing, general repair, and welding. Work 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Salary $26.66–$40.41 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Perform railcar brake testing.
- Carry out general repair tasks.
- Execute welding procedures (SMAW, FCAW).
- Work at heights, in tight spaces, and noisy, dusty environments.
- Follow Procor procedures and customer safety, quality, and responsible‑management standards.
- Work independently or as part of a team.
- Maintain good judgement, stress management, and safety orientation.
- Pass a medical examination and drug/alcohol test.
Qualifications
- Fluent in French and English written and spoken.
- Experience in 4‑position welding (SMAW and FCAW).
- Knowledge of rail cars and industrial mechanics.
- Physical fitness, able to work outdoors in demanding conditions.
- Class 3 driver’s license with a good sense of direction.
- Resourceful, initiative‑driven, and able to manage time and judgment.
