Position: Full-Time Child and Youth Worker
Make a meaningful impact in Thunder Bay, ON as a full-time Child and Youth Worker with Dilico Anishinabek Family Care. Provide essential therapeutic support and create individualized programs for children, youth, and families.
In this pivotal role, you will work under the direction of the Program Manager and address developmental and psycho-social needs. You’ll engage in case management, deliver relationship-based support, and collaborate with community agencies. This position supports culturally responsive care as you coordinate services from assessment to discharge.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individualized therapeutic support using trauma-informed methods
• Deliver support in homes, schools, and community settings
• Develop and evaluate behavior support and skill-building programs
• Coordinate case management and integrated service planning
• Collaborate with schools and agencies for coordinated care
Requirements:
• Diploma in Child & Youth Care or related field
• Experience with children and youth therapeutic support
• Knowledge of trauma-informed, culturally safe practices
• Valid Class G Driver’s License and access to a vehicle
• Current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
