As a Community Peer Support Worker with Siksika Health Services, you will offer vital outreach and engagement to those accessing STBBI services. Your lived experience will help build relationships rooted in dignity and cultural safety, and you will work closely with outreach staff, a Registered Nurse, and a Community Elder. This role prioritizes not only client support but also education and stigma reduction efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nonjudgmental emotional support to STBBI clients

• Engage the community through mobile clinics and events

• Distribute harm reduction supplies and health education materials

• Advocate for respectful treatment of all clients

• Attend team meetings and contribute to program improvement

Requirements:

• Lived experience relevant to STBBIs or harm reduction

• Experience in community outreach preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Valid Driver’s license and clearance checks required

• Knowledge of Indigenous culture and languages valued
