Lead the distribution efforts at The Salvation Army in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, as a Distribution & Recycling Supervisor.
Your role will manage inventory accuracy while supporting the community’s needs daily.
In this full-time position, you will oversee inventory reconciliation and maintain optimal stock levels across the warehouse. Your expertise in using a Warehouse Management System alongside hands-on tasks will ensure unnecessary surplus is minimized. Collaborate with your team to support operational efficiency and meet distribution goals effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee inventory reconciliation and accuracy checks
• Use WMS for tracking and management of stock
• Ensure compliance with food safety handling practices
• Conduct audits for inventory levels and space availability
• Support and train new employees on warehouse processes
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in a related field
• Minimum 2 years of warehouse and inventory experience
• Forklift Operators Certificate required
• Strong proficiency in computers and inventory systems
• Must pass a criminal background check
