Domestic Support Worker (Casual) — Job Type: Casual, 9 hours per week.
Schedule:
Flexible days.
The Saskatchewan Foster Families Association (SFFA) is committed to supporting foster families and creating nurturing environments for children and youth in care across the province. We are seeking a reliable and motivated Domestic Support Worker to assist with housekeeping and organization with foster families. This is a Casual position with potential for additional hours in the future.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the home.
- Manage kitchen duties, including sanitizing countertops, cupboards, tables, and chairs, and organizing within cupboards, pantry, and refrigerator.
- Clean and maintain kitchen appliances, such as cooking ranges, dishwashers, and microwaves.
- Empty waste bins and garbage cans.
- Dust living areas, including window blinds and interior windows.
- Sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, tubs, showers, mirrors, and sinks.
- Sanitize common surfaces throughout the home, including door handles, baseboards, and walls.
- Wash, fold, and put away laundry.
- Accurately document tasks completed.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Criminal Record Check (inclusive of Vulnerable Sector Check).
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and practices.
- Ability to read and follow instructions.
- Understanding of safety practices when using cleaning agents.
- Previous job experience in house cleaning, commercial property cleaning, or hotel cleaning is preferred.
