Job Summary
We are seeking a DZ Driver to join a high‑performing delivery team. This role involves safely operating a DZ‑permitted truck to deliver specialized products to various locations, performing hands‑on installations when required, and providing top‑notch customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate DZ‑permitted trucks (automatic) including 5‑ton vehicles with tailgates, ensuring timely and safe deliveries.
- Load, unload, and secure products at the distribution center and customer sites.
- Conduct vehicle safety inspections before and after shifts and report any maintenance concerns.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and obtain customer confirmations.
- Represent the company in a professional manner, interacting with clients and addressing concerns politely and effectively.
- Follow all traffic regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Occasionally handle returns or assist with the installation of equipment and machinery, including bank machines, lottery machines, photocopiers, and certain medical devices.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 2 years of DZ driving experience.
- Valid DZ driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Comfortable lifting and handling heavy items (up to 75 lbs, often assisted by equipment or teammates).
- Experience with tools, power tools, or mechanical installations is a plus, but training is provided.
- Strong English communication skills; ability to engage with customers and colleagues effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- WHMIS / TDG awareness.
