Professional Excavators is seeking a dedicated and skilled Earthworks Laborer to join our dynamic team. As an Earthworks Laborer, you will play a vital role in supporting our excavation projects by performing various essential tasks that ensure efficient and safe operations on job sites.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the excavation of earth and materials in various construction projects
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Follow instructions from site supervisors and foremen to complete tasks accurately
- Perform site clean-up and maintain a tidy work environment throughout the project
- Load and unload materials, equipment, and tools as necessary
- Assist in setting up and dismantling temporary structures such as formwork and safety barriers
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a laborer role, particularly in construction or excavation is preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols related to construction sites
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of excavation tools and equipment is a plus
- Commitment to punctuality and reliability, with a strong work ethic
