Job Overview
Permanent position in electrical or electronic equipment manufacturing located in a rural area. Requires willingness to relocate to the site. Work language is French.
Working hours:
37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility, design operation and performance research of electrical generation and distribution networks
- Design electrical and electronic components, systems and equipment
- Supervise and inspect the installation and operation of electrical and electronic systems and equipment
- Investigate electrical or electronic failures
- Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for construction or maintenance
- Conduct micro or nanodevices simulations, characterization, process modeling and integration in the development of new electronic devices and products
- Commission systems and components
- Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies and systems
- Work with minimal supervision
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience
- Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
- Computer and technology knowledge:
Lab View, Linux OS, MS Office, MATLAB, programming, firmware development, Python - Experience with research and development, specification or technical writing, instrumentation, testing and evaluation, industrial research and development
