About the Opportunity

Godspeed Group is currently partnering with a well-established Canadian manufacturing organization to recruit an experienced Engineering & Maintenance Manager.

This leadership role is a great fit for an experienced engineer who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, leads multidisciplinary teams, improves equipment reliability, drives operational excellence, and delivers capital projects that directly impact business performance.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will play a key role in shaping engineering strategy, optimizing maintenance operations, and supporting long-term organizational growth through continuous improvement and technical leadership.

Location: Ingersoll, ON

Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Schedule: Monday to Friday | Day Shift (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)

Compensation: CAD $98,400 – $147,600 annually + Comprehensive Benefits + Paid Time Off

Key Responsibilities

As the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing leadership and direction to the Engineering and Maintenance departments while developing high-performing teams.
  • Driving equipment reliability through effective preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs.
  • Leading capital projects from planning and budgeting through execution and successful completion.
  • Managing plant infrastructure, maintenance systems, and engineering initiatives to maximize operational efficiency and equipment uptime.
  • Developing and monitoring maintenance and engineering KPIs while implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Managing departmental budgets, maintenance expenditures, contractor relationships, and external vendors.
  • Partnering with Operations, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and senior leadership to support manufacturing objectives and improve plant performance.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, automation, and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Building a culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, employee development, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation is considered a strong asset.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive leadership experience within Engineering, Maintenance, or Manufacturing Operations.
  • Demonstrated success leading Engineering and Maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working within a unionized manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting 24/7 manufacturing operations.
  • Proven experience managing capital projects, maintenance strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing equipment, maintenance systems, and asset lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and operational excellence methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Candidates should be able to qualify for CGP.
