Position: Environmental Public Health Inspector I
Join the Edson Healthcare Centre as a Public Health Inspector I, focusing on environmental health programs and community wellness. Perform inspections and enforce the Public Health Act to safeguard public health.

In this temporary full-time role, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive environmental public health program. Your work will involve monitoring health hazards and providing consultation to limit their effects. This position also entails disease surveillance and ensuring compliance with regulations related to safe food, water, and environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with public health regulations

• Monitor and evaluate environmental health hazards

• Enforce health regulations related to safe food and water

• Provide consultations to support community wellness

• Collaborate on disease surveillance in the community

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health or related field

• Certificate in Public Health Inspection (Canada)

• Membership in good standing with CIPHI

• Valid driver’s license and vehicle

• Availability for day shifts over a 10-shift cycle

Support community health and safety through effective environmental inspections and health program delivery.
