Role Description
This is a full-time Flatbed Dispatch position in a hybrid capacity, requiring work both from the Edmonton, AB office and remotely as needed. The primary responsibilities include coordinating and managing flatbed shipping operations, dispatching drivers efficiently, and ensuring a smooth flow of communication between shippers, drivers, and clients. The individual will also handle scheduling, route planning, and resolving logistical challenges to enhance delivery performance and customer satisfaction. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining accurate documentation are key aspects of the role.
Qualifications
- Experience in Dispatching, Route Planning, and Fleet Coordination
- Knowledge of Safety Regulations and Compliance Standards relevant to the transportation industry
- Strong Communication, Problem-Solving, and Interpersonal Skills
- Proficiency in Documentation Management and Record-Keeping
- Technical Skills: Expertise in Dispatch Software and Familiarity with GPS Systems
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
- Previous experience in flatbed operations or the transportation industry is a plus
