Contribute to patient care as an Infection Control Practitioner at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. Responsible for overseeing the Infection Prevention and Control program with a focus on safety and efficacy in healthcare.
This temporary full-time position reports to the Manager, Infection Prevention and Control. The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge of patient-centered care and possess expertise in infectious disease management. You will work closely with healthcare teams to implement and monitor infection control protocols and training.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage ongoing Infection Prevention and Control activities
• Implement guidelines to control infectious disease spread
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to improve patient safety
• Provide training on infection control measures
• Conduct audits and assessments regularly
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in a health-related field
• Current license from a regulatory body
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC)
• Recent ICP experience in an acute care setting
• Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
