Stafingo is recruiting on behalf of a confidential Public Sector client for an experienced Intermediate IT Business Analyst to support a portfolio of ongoing and upcoming digital transformation initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact government technology projects that improve business processes, modernize services, and support enterprise-wide IT initiatives.

Position Details
- Job Title: Intermediate IT Business Analyst
- Employment Type: Contract
- Contract Duration: August 3, 2026 – August 2, 2027
- Extension: Possible
- Location: Hybrid (2–3 days onsite as required)
- Work Location: Orillia, ON
- Compensation:$70.00–$85.00/hour (T4 or Incorporated, based on experience)

What You will Do :
As an Intermediate IT Business Analyst, you will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and support the successful delivery of enterprise technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead business analysis activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and technical requirements.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, JAD sessions, and discovery meetings.
- Create business requirements documents, functional specifications, user stories, workflows, process maps, and use cases.
- Analyze current business processes and recommend improvements using business process re-engineering techniques.
- Develop business cases, feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and implementation recommendations.
- Prepare traceability matrices, business analysis documentation, briefing notes, presentations, and project artifacts.
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders throughout Agile project delivery.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, resolve issues, and communicate status updates.
- Support testing activities, user acceptance testing (UAT), and solution validation.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, project governance, and SDLC methodologies.
- Promote business analysis best practices and continuous process improvement.
Required Qualifications :
- Minimum 4 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst.
- Experience leading business analysis activities on enterprise IT projects.
- Some experience with project coordination or project leadership.
- Hands-on experience using:
- Azure DevOps
- Figma
- Jira
- Miro
- Experience gathering business and functional requirements.
- Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and requirements sessions.
- Strong documentation skills including:
- Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
- Functional Specifications
- User Stories
- Process Flows
- Use Cases
- Traceability Matrices
- Experience preparing business cases and conducting feasibility studies.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within Agile and/or hybrid project delivery environments.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Public Sector experience.
- Knowledge of Ontario government project methodologies.
- Experience with:
- Business Process Modeling
- Data Flow Modeling
- Business Functional Modeling
- CASE tools
- Information Management principles
- Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)
- Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture and SDLC best practices.
