**** Position purpose:
** Reporting to the Supervisor, Academic Program Management, conducts and monitors recruitment initiatives in target markets identified by the Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute (OLBI), the Faculty of Arts, and the University of Ottawa. The incumbent attracts and cultivates relationships with current and potential students and partners in support of the University’s goal to optimize program offerings, grow enrollment and promote diversity on campus.
** In this role, your responsibilities will include:
*** Develops and implements recruitment and business development tactical plans for target markets in line with the strategic aims of the Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute, the Faculty of Arts, and the University of Ottawa. Captures and distills market intelligence to identify and pursue student recruitment opportunities within these markets. Analyses data and defines key performance indicators to assess performance against the tactical plan.
Develops reports for the Director, Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute, and the Vice Dean of Programs, Faculty of Arts, about the results of recruitment efforts and key market insights
* Responds to incoming proposal requests. Develops and negotiates proposals to facilitate student recruitment into existing programs or into customized offerings. Works in collaboration with the Manager and Curriculum Coordinator in the Centre for Language Learning, along with faculties and services, in conceptualizing new programs or services in line with market demands and towards developing marketing and recruitment initiatives to meet enrollment targets.
* Works in collaboration with OLBI’s Marketing and Development team by providing market insights and relevant content for the development of the Centre for Language Learning’s promotional material including website, social media, digital marketing, and print collateral.
* Delivers and/or facilitates presentations in person and via the web to prospective students and partners on program offerings of the Centre for Language Learning and the University of Ottawa. Participates in student recruitment fairs in target markets and conducts follow-up and reporting on these recruitment trips. Attends selected conferences to keep abreast of market trends and to build a network of contacts.
* Under the supervision of the Manager, manages a portfolio of international agents responsible for student recruitment for the Centre for Language Learning.
* Liaises and maintains regular contact with international partners such as associations, embassies, sponsors, government agencies, private sector organizations, universities, colleges, high schools, agents and marketing agencies to optimize the sector’s ability to recruit students and develop new programs.
