Position: Journeyman & Apprentice Welders Needed
WQS Industrial Services Ltd. is seeking certified Journeyman and Apprentice Welders for the 2026 Fall Turnaround Season in Fort McMurray. Experience excellence in a people-first culture while contributing to substantial projects.
This role requires IRATA Certification levels 1, 2, or 3 and your welding certification as either an Apprentice or Journeyman. You will work on major projects from August to October 2026, with a demanding schedule of six 12-hour days, followed by one day off. Candidates must demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to safety values.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform welding on stainless steel components
• Comply with industry safety standards and testing
• Actively participate in training and development opportunities
• Maintain a high standard of safety and workplace decorum
• Support community engagement initiatives from WQS
Requirements:
• IRATA Level 1, 2 or 3 Certification required
• Registered Apprentice or Journeyman Welder certification
• Experience with stainless steel is an asset
• Fit for Duty and compliance with safety regulations
• Valid driver’s license and clear driver abstract
