We are looking for a motivated Junior Structural Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer who wants hands-on experience in structural steel design, product development, and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Prepare structural drawings and 3D models using Tekla Structures.
- Prepare engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Produce fabrication and shop drawings.
- Prepare list of material and harwdare
- Assist in the structural design of steel storage systems.
- Review architectural and structural drawings to develop practical design solutions.
- Coordinate with production, fabrication, and installation teams.
- Participate in product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
- Mandatory proficiency in Tekla Structures.
- Experience with structural steel connection design and detailing
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Strong understanding of structural steel detailing.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) registration with APEGA or eligibility to register.
- Knowledge of steel design principles and fabrication processes.
- Familiarity with CSA structural steel standards and the National Building Code of Canada.
- Experience with structural analysis software is considered an asset.
