In this full-time position, you will be at the forefront of patient care, performing essential phlebotomy tasks and special testing processes. This role allows you to interact directly with patients and ensure their comfort while adhering to strict protocols. Your expertise in laboratory operations will contribute significantly to improving diagnostic accuracy for Canadians.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet patients and verify test protocol compliance
• Conduct phlebotomy and connect/disconnect holter monitors
• Manage special medical/legal test collections accurately
• Follow up on client inquiries and maintain relationships
• Enter patient data and prepare specimens for transport
Requirements:
• Completion of a Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent
• Prior phlebotomy experience is preferred
• Strong typing skills with a minimum of 40 wpm
• Excellent empathy and patient service abilities
• Capability to enforce privacy and confidentiality standards
