Position: Labour Relations Officer for Member Support
Join as a Labour Relations Officer and advocate for members’ rights. Engage in a hybrid work model, representing the Institute and addressing labour relations issues effectively.
This full-time, 12-month term position focuses on guiding members through the complexities of labour relations. You’ll provide comprehensive advice on grievances, negotiate settlements, and conduct essential training sessions for stewards.
Your role will empower members by ensuring their rights are protected and represented accurately within the framework of federal laws.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise on grievances and employment rights
• Negotiate resolutions for labour disputes
• Support training initiatives for members and stewards
• Maintain updated documentation in systems
• Contribute to communication and reporting on issues
Requirements:
• University degree in relevant field required
• 1–3 years experience in labour relations
• Bilingual skills in English and French preferred
• Strong knowledge of grievance processes
• Excellent representational and communication skills
Support members with expertise and advocacy to foster a positive and effective labour relations environment.
