About the Role
Manager, Investor Relations (12–18 month fixed‑term contract). Join Torex Gold’s Corporate Development & Investor Relations team to cover maternity leave. Report to the Senior Vice President, Corporate Development & Investor Relations and support the company’s investor relations strategy, external communications and public disclosure activities.
Work closely with senior leadership to communicate Torex Gold’s business strategy, operational performance and long‑term value proposition to investors, analysts and the investment community. Prepare investor communications, support quarterly reporting, coordinate investor events and conferences and maintain transparent and timely disclosure practices in a fast‑paced public company environment.
What We’re Looking for
- Annual base salary between $125,000 and $160,000 plus benefits.
- Hybrid work arrangement based in Toronto.
- Occasional travel to investor conferences and industry events in Canada and the United States.
- Knowledge transfer with current incumbent before leave begins.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, Communications or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, Equity Research or Capital Markets for a publicly traded company.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and capital markets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, exceptional attention to detail and strong project‑management skills.
- Ability to work with senior executives, cross‑functional teams and manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
Experience & Skills
Required
- Preparing investor presentations, earnings materials and executive communications.
- Drafting high‑quality written communications such as press releases, presentations and external messaging.
- Strong financial analysis and interpretation of operational and financial results.
- Coordinating disclosure materials and supporting quarterly reporting cycles.
- Stakeholder management skills and ability to work independently.
- Planning, prioritisation and execution skills.
Preferred
- Experience in the mining industry investor relations.
- Familiarity with NI 43‑101 terminology and mining disclosure.
- Experience working with institutional investors and sell‑side analysts.
- Background supporting investor conferences and roadshows.
Key Accountabilities
- Investor Relations Strategy & Execution – support the execution of Torex Gold’s IR strategy, prepare communications and articulate the company’s performance.
- External Communications & Disclosure – draft and coordinate investor‑facing communications (earnings materials, press releases, presentations, scripts, public disclosure documents).
- Investor & Analyst Engagement – plan and execute meetings with investors and equity research analysts, prepare briefing materials, monitor coverage and maintain relationships.
- Financial & Operational Analysis – analyze financial and operational data to develop compelling messaging and provide insights to senior leadership.
- Investor Conferences & Events – coordinate participation in conferences, roadshows and industry events, prepare materials and logistics.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration – partner with Finance, Technical Services, Operations, Sustainability, Legal and Executive Leadership to gather and validate information.
- Corporate Presentations & Materials – maintain and improve investor presentations, fact sheets, website content and other communication materials.
- Regulatory Compliance – support the preparation of continuous disclosure documents and ensure compliance with securities regulations and stock exchange requirements.
- Continuous Improvement – identify opportunities to enhance IR processes, reporting, communication materials and stakeholder engagement practices.
