New Westminster Surgical Centre, part of Clearpoint Health Network, is hiring a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician. This casual position requires commitment to sterilization and patient safety protocols.
As the MDR Technician, you’ll handle disassembly, cleaning, and sterilization of reusable medical devices following CSA Z314 Standards. The role demands a quick pace with physical demands, including lifting and moving supplies. Adding to your responsibilities, you will ensure that all devices meet quality assurance requirements and are prepared for surgical usage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collect and reprocess medical instruments efficiently
• Operate sterilization equipment and maintain functionality
• Assemble requested surgical sets and manage inventory
• Ensure cleanliness and safety in the workspace
• Lead and mentor co-workers in practices
Requirements:
• Completion of a Medical Device Reprocessing program
• Valid CSA Certification required
• Strong English language skills needed
• Acute care environment experience preferred
• Must be able to regularly lift 25 lbs
