As a temporary contract Teacher, you will join a talented team as part of the Kortright Programs division. This role requires teaching outdoor education and using the Emergent Learning approach to foster physical and socio-emotional skills. You’ll coordinate and lead safe educational excursions while monitoring student progress using the Ontario Curriculum guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and document student achievements throughout the year
• Ensure the safety and well-being of preschool and primary students
• Develop and deliver engaging education programs in various settings
• Plan and lead educational excursions in beautiful green spaces
• Mentor staff and assist in training educational candidates
Requirements:
• University degree in Education or related field
• 4+ years of teaching experience in outdoor education
• Ontario Certified Teacher in good standing
• Knowledge of Forest School pedagogy
• Strong communication and organizational skills
