The City of Edmonton is seeking an experienced Occupational Health and Safety Manager to lead its Workforce Safety and Employee Health team. In this senior role, you’ll design comprehensive safety strategies, mentor teams, and ensure alignment with safety policies. Your leadership will drive meaningful change, fostering partnerships and enhancing workplace safety practices across diverse sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a proactive Occupational Health and Safety team

• Develop and implement comprehensive safety strategies

• Serve as the main contact for Alberta OHS regulatory inquiries

• Provide actionable insights on emerging workplace risk trends

• Manage resources and budget to ensure service excellence

Requirements:

• Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field

• Six years of professional OH&S experience

• Three years in a senior supervisory or leadership role

• Extensive experience in safety management systems

• Knowledge of Alberta OHS legislation
