In this full-time permanent position, you’ll report directly to senior leadership while collaborating with operational leaders to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous employee development. Your leadership will span health, safety, and training functions within a unionized setting, focusing on fostering a safe, compliant, and high-performing workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead health and safety initiatives within a unionized environment
• Develop and maintain Occupational Health & Safety policies
• Promote employee engagement in safety culture initiatives
• Manage WorkSafeBC claims and return-to-work programs
• Conduct incident investigations and workplace risk assessments
Requirements:
• Minimum 7 years in Occupational Health & Safety
• 5 years of leadership experience required
• Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence for site travel
• Excellent planning and problem-solving skills
Effectively manage and enhance safety standards while making a meaningful impact within the organization.
