As a key member of the Canadian Leadership Team, the Operations Manager will develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with the Senior Leadership team on site, lead the operations team with a clearly defined sense of business direction and purpose, and lead our people and culture to deliver high standards. The Operations Manager will closely manage and lead the Production, Warehouse & Inventory team of the site.
This role is at the heart of driving our business capability and building a fantastic environment for all our colleagues.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Responsible for leading all aspects of the site including functions such
as Operations, Warehouse and Inventory.
- Principal responsibility is to be in charge of leading and developing the
efficiency and effectiveness of the operational business activities with
accountability for achievement of financial goals.
- Manage with a Best Practice approach, supporting the company wide
processes and initiatives ensuring continuous improvement to enhance
business execution.
- Work across business units and maintain close working relationships
within all internal departments, customers, strategic partners and other
stakeholders with whom the business has touch points in its operation.
- Lead the company’s vision and values to all employees.Serve as a role
model for this vision and values and create and foster a culture of
integrity throughout the organization with the P&C Manager to set the
site up for success.
- Work closely with the P&C team to ensure effective recruitment
strategies, training, engagement and retention.
- Ensure the sites legal and statutory obligations are met
- Manage over all site S&W matters and ensure the facility and procedures
meet the highest safety, quality and environmental standards.
- Provide the Senior Leadership team with coaching, advice and support
across all areas of talent development, people leadership and
development and organizational effectiveness.
- Actively participate and drive the evolution of culture and leadership at
- Hilton Foods. This is core to the success of the business and in creating a
differentiated customer experience.
