Our Village at University Gates is seeking a dedicated Recreation Team Member to support our multidisciplinary teams. You will work closely with the geriatric population, fostering caring relationships to enhance residents’ wellbeing. Knowledge in Therapeutic Recreation is essential, along with a commitment to their individual needs and holistic services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning and facilitating recreational activities
• Build strong relationships with residents and families
• Promote resident-centred social engagement and support
• Collaborate with Village teams for tailored services
• Display respectful and empathetic attitudes toward residents
Requirements:
• Experience with the geriatric population
• Knowledge of Therapeutic Recreation principles
• Enrolled in or completed recreation or gerontology education
• Familiarity with long-term care regulations
• Preferred:
Recreation Degree or Diploma
