Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting)
- Assist with mobility support, transfers, and positioning
- Support meal preparation, feeding assistance, and light housekeeping
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients
- Follow care plans, ensure safety, and use assistive equipment properly.
- Maintain timely documentation and communication
- Uphold ethical, confidentiality, and infection control standards.
Job Requirements
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Minimum of 1 year of previous caregiving experience (home care, facility, or hospital settings)
- Ability to communicate in English (spoken and written)
- Mobile Phone – for scheduling & communication
- Current documentation required:
- TB screening test
- First Aid & CPR certification
- Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector Search required)
- Up to date Vaccination
- Preferred Qualifications (Assets, Not Mandatory):
- BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry Number
- Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle
- International or domestic experience as a Physician, Medical Doctor, Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Internationally Educated Nurse (IEN)
- Other experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities
