Overview
Engineering Professional – Landing Gear – Airbus Canada Limited Partnership
Location:
Mirabel, Québec, Canada. Full‑time (40 hrs per week). Salary: 75,000 per annum. Permanent, professional experience level. Language of work:
French or English.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the technical design and modification of mechanical components and systems following the Airbus Canada Change Management process.
- Review and validate technical documentation, engineering drawings, and supplier deliverables to ensure conformity with design requirements and operational standards.
- Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve technical mechanical issues.
- Investigate and assess mechanical non‑conformities and system deficiencies, proposing corrective actions.
- Support the Final Assembly Line (FAL): handle Reports of Non‑conformance (RNCs) and participate in the duty roster per the assigned schedule.
- Plan and manage projects supporting the FAL, preparing material and cost estimates and related reports.
- Provide engineering guidance on mechanical system installation, modification, and commissioning to support production and assembly operations.
- Prepare Non‑incorporated Engineering Orders (NIEOs) and update Restriction and/or Special Instructions (RSI) to accommodate Flight Test Center needs regarding mechanical system modifications and maintenance.
Qualifications
- University degree in mechanical engineering.
- At least two (2) years of relevant experience in landing gear.
- Knowledge of Airbus Final Assembly Line (FAL) processes, including Reports of Non‑conformance (RNCs).
- Proficiency with the Google suite.
- Strong autonomous working capability and team‑player attitude.
- Good knowledge of French or English (written and spoken).
