Role Description
We are building a shortlist of experienced Project Managers (PMP certified) to support delivery upon project award.
This role will support the delivery of a public sector transformation initiative to deliver an enterprise-wide technology solution. This project aligns with a broader initiative to improve visibility, consistency and performance across large-scale capital projects. The project manager will play a key role in coordinating a multi-stakeholder engagement involving business, technology and operational teams, ensuring structured delivery across all phases of the project. This is a contract hybrid role for a Project Manager, located in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada, with the flexibility to work partially from home.
This includes supporting and working closely with the business analyst on activities such as:
- Current state assessments
- Stakeholder engagement (interviews, workshops)
- Requirements definition and prioritization
- Development of procurement-ready materials for future solution

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage integrated project plans, timelines and deliverables across as 26-week engagement
- Establish and maintain project governance, including status reporting and executive updates
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement across multiple departments and external partners
- Support the planning and execution of interviews, workshops and working sessions
- Track and manage risks, issues, dependencies and decisions
- Ensure alignment between business needs and technical requirements and delivery outputs
- Support the development of:
- Business requirements document
- Use cases
- Evaluation frameworks
- Implementation roadmaps
- Monitor project progress against scope, schedule and budget constraints
- Lead and participate in vendor-selection process
- Work closely with senior consulting leads to maintain delivery quality and consistency
What We’re Looking For:
- PMP certification (required)
- 7-12+ years of project management experience
- Experience delivering complex transformation initiative, ideally in:
- Public sector
- Capital project environments
- Technology or system selection initiatives
- Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder engagements across departments and organizations
- Strong facilitation skills
- Experience supporting requirements gathering and structured delivery frameworks
- Familiarity with project management maturity models, governance frameworks or portfolio management is an asset
- Experience in consulting or client-facing roles preferred
Engagement Details:
- Type: contract (contingent on project award)
- Duration: ~26 weeks (6 months)
- Commitment: ~20-25 hours/week; varies by project phase
- Location: Remote/Hybrid/Canada-based
- Potential for travel
Compensation:
- $80-$105/hour, based on experience and scope
- Possibility of contract extension
