Position: Project Manager
Duration: 6 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Winnipeg, MB (Onsite: 7.75 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead complex information systems and healthcare transformation initiatives within a large public‑sector environment. The successful consultant will provide end‑to‑end project leadership for initiatives involving clinical transformation, patient safety, process improvement, and provincial healthcare programs. This role requires deep experience working with diverse clinical and executive stakeholders, delivering large‑scale change initiatives that directly impact patient care and healthcare outcomes.
Scope
- Planning, leading, and delivering complex information systems and operational transformation projects
- Managing healthcare initiatives focused on patient safety, clinical transformation, and process improvement
- Leading large, multidisciplinary stakeholder groups including clinicians, physicians, senior leaders, and executives
- Developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies for large‑scale organizational change.
Assignment Deliverables
- Project charters, detailed work plans, schedules, and milestones
- Stakeholder engagement plans and clinical transformation roadmaps
- Communication strategies, change plans, and key messaging artifacts
- Risk, issue, dependency, and decision logs with mitigation strategies.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
- 10 years’ experience as a Project Manager delivering information systems and operational transformation projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing large‑scale information systems and operational transformation projects
- Proven delivery of healthcare process improvement and patient safety initiatives impacting patient care
- Experience leading projects with large, multidisciplinary clinical stakeholder groups (50+), including physicians and executive leaders
- Strong ability to develop and execute communication strategies for complex, organization‑wide change initiatives
- Experience delivering community health, primary care, and/or provincially scoped healthcare projects
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and reporting skills within a public‑sector healthcare environment.
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to children’s healthcare initiatives or pediatric clinical transformation programs
- Experience supporting cardiovascular or chronic disease health initiatives
- Formal project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
