What we Offer:
Competitive Wage: $55,000 to $65,000 per year
What You Will Do
- Conduct physical testing of flexible packaging, raw materials, plastic finished packaging products
- Ensure the accuracy and verify the quality of printed materials during the proofing process per approved procedures and work instructions
- Drives activities to obtain departmental goals and objectives
- Coordinates testing activities, timelines and customer expectations
- Participates in Quality team activities, support Performance System initiative/5S/Lean Manufacturing
- Complete customer surveys & performance evaluations requested by the customers
- Generate, document, report information and results with accuracy and ensures that proper procedures are employed as outlined by the Quality Management System
- Utilize the Corrective and Preventative Action Requests, conduct Quality meetings.
- Work with customers to develop test protocols, which includes, researching methodology, outlining a protocol and validating the methodology
- Communicates with internal and external customers to gain a better understanding of the testing objective, outlining a test plan and discuss results.
What You Bring
- College diploma in related field or equivalent work experience
- Experience in flexible packaging preferred, but not required
- A good ability to question data and question unexpected outcomes
- Laboratory techniques and safety practices
- Computer literacy especially in Excel and Word
- Knowledge of Quality tools (e.g. NCR, CAR, Fishbone, 5Why)
- Excellent organizational skills, work under tight deadlines, ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Strong interpersonal with both written and verbal communication skills
