Quality Engineer (Tester) Jobs in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at J&M Group
We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a financial services technology team in downtown Toronto. You will drive quality across the application lifecycle through test automation, API testing, and continuous improvement in an Agile delivery environment.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain automated UI test scripts using Selenium
- Build and maintain API automation tests using Rest Assured and Postman
- Perform continuous testing including security, API, and regression testing
- Support data and environment configuration for testing activities
- Participate in code reviews and monitor and report defects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of testing processes
- Contribute to system integration testing and defect management
- Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in quality assurance
What You Bring
- 4 or more years of experience in UI frontend automation using Selenium
- 4 or more years of experience in API automation using Rest Assured or Postman
- 3 or more years of experience with Git, Jenkins, Jira, and Maven
- 2 or more years of experience with SQL
- 2 or more years of mainframe testing knowledge
- Hands-on experience with behavior-driven development
- Experience in trading or wealth management domain
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience with GitHub Actions and GitHub Copilot
- Familiarity with data analytics for testing efficiency improvement
- Background in capital markets or financial services environments
Work setup
- 12 month contract based in downtown Toronto, ON
- Onsite 3 to 4 days per week
- 1 position available
