Role summary
We are looking for a strong Scrum Master with blended Delivery Manager Capabilities to support software delivery across our menu channels: POS, Kiosk, Mobile App, and Delivery for both US and Canada.
This person will help bring greater structure, consistency, and accountability to how teams plan, deliver, and support work across channels that are currently at different levels of agile maturity. They will be expected to coach teams, improve SDLC processes, influence stakeholders, and help drive a practical agile mindset across Content, Engineering, vendors, and QA.
This is not a passive facilitator role. We need someone who can define & lead process change (with an emphasis on agile scrum), help to define team velocity and supporting processes, challenge unrealistic delivery expectations, guide teams through production incidents, and build trust across cross-functional teams.
What we need this person to do
Core responsibilities
- Assess current delivery processes across POS, Kiosk, Mobile App, and Delivery and identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Establish more consistent agile and delivery practices across channels while recognizing that each channel is at a different level of maturity.
- Coach and guide teams on core agile ceremonies and disciplines, including:
daily standups
sprint planning
backlog refinement
story sizing/estimation
sprint reviews
retrospectives
- Help introduce or strengthen more effective SDLC tools and workflows, especially in less mature channels.
- Partner with Content Analysts, Engineering teams, vendor teams, and QA to improve planning, prioritization, execution, and release readiness.
- Act as the voice of reason between stakeholders and delivery teams by pushing back on unreasonable timelines, scope, or process gaps.
- Support teams during production incidents / “fires” by helping coordinate response, create clarity, and keep teams focused.
- Help create clearer accountability around roles and responsibilities, especially where teams are new to agile concepts.
- Coach Content Analysts and team leads on their effective role within agile delivery, including where responsibilities align to Product Owner / Product Manager-type ownership.
- Help sell the vision of agile in a practical, credible way that encourages adoption rather than resistance.
- Drive continuous improvement with a focus on predictability, transparency, team health, and delivery quality.
