Job Description
Position: part‑time Seasonal Clerk/Cashier (3 positions) available May 4 – Oct 10, 2026 at the Food Store in Emma Lake, Saskatchewan.
Key responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate behaviors that support Lake Country Co-operatives’ vision, mission, and safety principles, focusing on customer service across all touchpoints.
- Provide legendary service to guests via various communication channels.
- Maintain a safe and efficient area while adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards in the sale of age‑restricted items such as wine, spirits, beer, tobacco, and lottery.
- Serve guests, operate the point‑of‑sale system (POS), dispense propane when required, stock and face shelves, and perform general housekeeping duties.
- Monitor inventory code dates to ensure freshness on the shelf and follow FIFO procedures.
- Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
- General knowledge of food and liquor store operations is considered an asset.
- Must be willing and able to obtain Serve It Right, WHMIS, and propane dispensing certifications.
- Ability to fulfill physical job requirements, including standing, regular heavy lifting, and working in cooler temperatures.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, guest‑facing environment.
- Flexible work schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
