Our client A leading international bank is expanding its listed derivatives and futures clearing capabilities, with a strategic mandate to become the #2 futures clearing institution in the country. As part of this buildout — including a move to self-clearing at the TMX — we are retained to identify a Senior Derivatives Operations Specialist to join the team.
The Role
This is a senior individual contributor position embedded within a derivatives operations function undergoing significant transformation. You will work across futures clearing, settlement, and margin workflows on live exchange-traded products, operating within established industry platforms including GMI and Ion XTP (formerly Rolfe & Nolan).
What We’re Looking For
- Solid derivatives operations background with a clear focus on listed products and futures
- Hands‑on experience with GMI and/or Ion XTP — direct platform familiarity is a meaningful differentiator
- Cross‑asset exposure considered — fixed income, equities, and commodities backgrounds all relevant
- Prior experience at a Canadian bank or comparable institutional environment preferred
- A professional who is committed to this discipline and looking to contribute to something being built, not inherited
