Position Overview
Currently they are seeking a strategic, business-oriented Senior Director to develop and lead a high-performing analytics function. The team’s initial focus will be to drive and sophisticate the organization’s pricing strategy and execution across acquisition and retail channels and then tackle other data related initiatives. Reporting into the Executive team, this high-impact role sits at the heart of the company’s business model, directly influencing profitability, customer conversion, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have a unique mix of strong business judgment and deep analytical experience in corporate modeling, scenario planning and data optimization driving growth opportunities and business outcomes.
Operating in a data-rich environment—spanning 10,000+ new offers each week and a weekly-refreshed database of 250,000+ customer valuations—this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced data and analytics professional to lead and grow a function to leverage deep analytics to solve complex business problems, optimize pricing, and drive growth.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a Data Analytics team that is responsive to business challenges and operational opportunities.
- Utilize data insights to work with Senior Executives to develop and execute on business strategy.
Driving data analytics strategy by developing key frameworks, models and team to leverage Clutch data in order to drive growth strategy. This includes:
- Price Optimization Strategy – Develop and execute pricing strategies that maximize profitability and conversation while balancing operational considerations.
- Acquisition & Retail Pricing Matrix – _Build and maintain models to assess pricing, margins, inventory, and capital allocation under various business scenarios.
- Identifying other growth opportunities through deep data analysis.
- Inventory Mix & Capital Exposure – Recommend optimal inventory composition and capital allocation strategies to balance risk, liquidity, and sales velocity.
- Vehicle Disposition Strategy – Create and oversee frameworks for wholesale, retail, and export channels to ensure each vehicle is routed to its most profitable outcome.
- Hire, mentor, and manage a cross-functional team, fostering a culture of rigor, experimentation, and innovation.
- Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance dashboards and insights to executive leadership.
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years in either data science, deep data analysis, strategic finance, management consulting, or related business strategy roles, with preference given to pricing, corporate modeling, or scenario analysis.
- Strong understanding of financial and business metrics, with experience translating data into actionable business decisions.
- Hands-on experience with pricing models, forecasts, and margin analysis.
- Comfortable navigating large datasets and collaborating with analytics teams; curiosity for data science and AI is an asset.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence executive stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to present insights to executive-level stakeholders.
