Match Box Consulting Group is currently seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer for a permanent role with a client of ours located in Vancouver.
Responsibilities
- Engage with partners and prospects to deliver customized product demonstrations tailored to their unique needs.
- Leverage market and technical expertise to provide strategic consultation on partner product strategies. This includes designing optimal technology and go-to-market solutions for our partners.
- Analyze bank product specifications to design and deliver best-in-class technical solutions.
- Collaborate with sales, product, and service operations teams to develop optimal go-to-market strategies for products across the partner ecosystem.
- Lead internal strategic initiatives aimed at automating and improving processes to drive efficiency and revenue growth.
- Lead technical scoping and draft detailed specifications for Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Create and present strategic pitch decks to banks and new partners to introduce and highlight new product functionality.
- Act as a mentor and technical guide for junior members of the Solutions Team, fostering their professional growth and ensuring best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in solutions engineering, technical pre‑sales, professional services, product management, or a similar role, preferably in financial services or financial technology.
- Strong ability to design/architect solutions that maximizes benefit to the client while maintaining best practices and adhering to technical framework.
- Experienced in creating technical documentation, including process workflows and requirements documents.
- Strong presence and effective at communicating complex ideas in a simple way as well as advocating to executive level stakeholders.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical specifications, transforming complex details into accessible, user‑friendly content.
- Comprehensive knowledge of connectivity standards such as authentication, encryption, secure transmission, and APIs.
- Familiarity with data standards such as XML and JSON.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
- Proven relationship‑building skills with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Highly motivated, self‑directed individual who can manage multiple initiatives and meet tight deadlines.
- Prior experience in financial services or financial technology is highly desirable.
