SEO Account Manager ($70k-$80k) Jobs in Canada at VixelStudio

We are looking for a detail-obsessed, client-facing SEO Manager to own local SEO campaigns for home-service businesses across the US and Canada. You’ll lead strategy, direct web design, and be the main point of contact responsible for increasing qualified leads and revenue.

Compensation

  • Total salary: $70,000 – $80,000 CAD
  • Bonuses: Performance-based, tied to client retention and account health

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Own the SEO strategy for 20–28 local service clients (plumbers, electricians, roofers, etc.)
  • Onboard new clients, set clear expectations, and define goals in terms of leads and revenue, not just rankings
  • Direct web design and CRO for local service sites (WordPress + Elementor), collaborating with dev/design/copy
  • Lead Local SEO execution: GBP optimization, on-page, internal links, content briefs, and local link-building
  • Use Ahrefs, Local Dominator, Nightwatch, GSC, GA4 and our internal tools to track performance and find growth opportunities
  • Run monthly strategy calls and send weekly updates summarizing: what we did, what changed, and what’s next
  • Ensure all work follows our established SOPs while continuously suggesting improvements
  • Work closely with our fulfillment team, communicating quickly and clearly in Slack and internal tools
  • Get trained by our senior team on our playbooks, reporting system, and client communication standards

Requirements

  • 2–4+ years of hands-on SEO experience, including local SEO for service businesses
  • Solid experience with WordPress + Elementor (you can brief devs and make basic edits yourself)
  • Comfortable using Ahrefs, GSC, GA4 on a weekly basis
  • Understanding of GBP optimization, citations, and local link acquisition
  • You speak and write near-native English; you’ll be leading client calls every month
  • You can explain technical SEO in simple language to busy, non-technical business owners
  • Strong attention to detail; able to manage multiple accounts without dropping the ball
  • Reliable, on-time, and responsive during North American business hours
  • You enjoy moving fast, taking ownership, and working within clear SOPs
