The Department of English invites applications for a sessional instructor to teach the block week course “Advanced Topics:
Popular/Experimental Topics in Genre (The Comics Form)” in Winter 2027 (Jan 4, 2027 – Jan 8, 2027).
Course Details
- ENGL 529.6, SEM 01/ENGL 603.31, SEM 01 – Block Week MTWRF 09:00 – 17:00 (In person)
Responsibilities
Teach the Advanced Topics:
Popular/Experimental Topics in Genre course during the Winter 2027 block week, preparing lessons, evaluating student work, and meeting the department’s academic standards.
Qualifications
- PhD in English or related field
- Evidence of successful teaching of English courses at a post-secondary level
- Evidence of current expertise in Comic Studies and ability to teach the history and aesthetics of comics and comic making at the graduate level
