The University of Toronto seeks a Sessional Lecturer for the course STA
2571HS. This position requires strong expertise in Mathematical Finance or Statistics, at least five years of industry experience, and prior teaching at the university level. You will lead students in understanding stochastic processes and their applications in finance and insurance contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach and engage students in course materials
• Set and invigilate term tests and final exams
• Report final grades accurately
• Counsel and support students throughout the course
• Supervise Teaching Assistants when applicable
Requirements:
• Relevant education in Mathematical Finance/Statistics
• Minimum five years’ industry experience in finance/insurance
• Previous university teaching experience
• Strong communication and mentoring skills
• Availability for the course schedule from January to April
