Position: Supervisor for GIS and CAD Systems
Oversight of GIS and CAD functions at the City of Kingston as a Supervisor, Infrastructure. Enhance infrastructure data systems critical for municipal services and capital projects.
This position involves supervising a skilled team of Engineering GIS Technologists, ensuring high standards in data management and supporting internal design services. You will guide the asset inventory development and lead improvements in GIS and CAD processing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive supervision of Engineering GIS Technologists
• Prioritize and manage drafting and design tasks
• Ensure efficiency in CAD drafting for all Engineering projects
• Provide leadership in spatial data management
• Support innovation and technology adoption within the team
Requirements:
• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field
• Five years of experience with relevant data systems
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ESRI GIS software
• Supervisory experience in municipal government preferred
• Valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s license
